Description
Lizzie Borden is the first doll made based on a real life figure. They capture the real Lizzie Borden's likeness through a red updo with a couple of face-framing pieces. She has black eyes with blue irises and bags under them. She has a black dress with poofy long sleeves and black fur trim, with a large red bow on the chest. It is modelled after the fashions on the late 1800's Lizzie would adorn. Her accessory is her iconic bloodied axe, in line with her history and crime of killing her parents.
Fun Facts
- The real Lizzie Borden was a Sunday School teacher, hence her spot in this school themed lineup.
- Lizzie Borden is the first to be based on a real life killer.
- Lizzie Borden's date of death is accurate to the day the real Lizzie Borden died. The time is far earlier than the officially acknowledged time of 11:15 am, though a solid estimate considering they found her dead in her bed, likely hours after passing. 3:13 am also happens to be the perfect time for "Witching hour" when many supernatural events happen in the midst of the night.
- Lizzie Borden has about 6 dolls across all minis, anniversary editions, plushes and normal dolls.
